Mentorship Cycle Three is the final formal mentorship course prior to Certification in Teaching MBSR, taken as you teach your third (or fourth or fifth) MBSR course. In this concentrated mentorship series, you will have four one-hour sessions with your mentor, to identify and develop competencies specific to you and your teaching arena. To position you for independence as a teacher, there is a particular focus on self-assessment of skills and growth areas, through reflection, writing and reviewing live films. This mentorship series also includes preparatory assessment and coaching toward teacher certification. This series concludes with a reflection on the ethos of teaching mindfulness, at the intersection of your personal mindfulness practice, your professional teaching practice, and the essential matter of being fully human.
You will have been assigned to a specific mentor during Mentorship Cycle One and Mentorship Cycle Two. Applicants receive mentorship from Rebecca Eldridge or Margaret Fletcher, Senior MBSR Teacher Trainers. Consideration is given to requests for a specific mentor.
