Mentorship Cycle Two is designed for teacher trainees who have completed the 10-week Inside the MBSR Classroom group training and are ready to teach their second MBSR course. Together with your mentor, you will discuss, apply and expand the range of your developing skills as an MBSR teacher. Consisting of 10 weekly 60- to 75-minute sessions, this second extended training period with your mentor’s support is tailored toward identifying and pursuing your specific learning objectives in teaching. The potential to express and evoke the power of the present moment for others through your teaching is developed through an increasingly intimate, honest, and brave relationship with yourself and your mentor. Strong emphasis is given to exploring the intersection of mindfulness practice, teaching practice, and the essential matter of being fully human.
You will have been assigned to a specific mentor during Mentorship Cycle One. Applicants receive mentorship from Rebecca Eldridge or Margaret Fletcher, Senior MBSR Teacher Trainers. Consideration is given to requests for a specific mentor.
