If we’re living life, at some point, we all experience loss. Loss comes in many forms—loss of loved ones, loss of the life we anticipated/planned, loss of homes/jobs/etc. This 2-session course will encourage participants to use mindfulness-based practices to identify and explore what comes up when we acknowledge and sit with grief and loss.

Various practices will be offered to support recognition of dysregulation, self-regulation, rebalancing, and refocusing. We will explore how the idea of wise attention can contribute to the potential for profound healing insights, and engage in mindfulness practices and self-discovery opportunities that can help us gain insight into what is supportive, stabilizing and healing.

Having a framework for the weekly process will help us create a safe, manageable environment that invites what is possible for each person as we explore grief and loss. Times are approximate and somewhat flexible according to what’s present.

  • Opening Practice and Settling In (5 min.)
  • Reflections and teachings about mindfulness, grief, and loss, and tending to ourselves in the present (15 min.)
  • Mindfulness practice: attending to what's called for and supportive (15 min.)
  • Optional Check-In, sharing, inquiry and deep listening (30 min.)
  • Mindfulness Practice (10 min.)
  • Brief Check-Out/Intention Setting (10 min.)
  • Closing Practice (5 min.)

As a participant, you agree to—

  • Be somewhere private, where you won't be interrupted
  • Attend and participate in both sessions, barring emergency
  • Use a computer that allows all participants to be seen on one screen—no phones, please
  • Show up with a curious, reflective, and observational approach to what's arising
  • Practice kindness and gentleness towards yourself as we engage in meditation and speaking and listening together
  • Engage in mindfulness practice during and between sessions that works for you/supports you

This program is limited to 22 participants

REFUND POLICY:
